NC FAME ADVANCED MANUFACTURING
FAME blends college coursework with paid on-the-job training. This first-of-its-kind program in N.C. is an opportunity to earn while you learn. Potentially graduate debt-free with an associate degree and an Advanced Manufacturing Technician certification. You'll leave prepared to go straight into the workforce or continue your education in engineering at a four-year school.
GTCC's course are designed with local companies for up-to-date training in aerospace, auto racing, general manufacturing, aviation and more. You learn the skills necessary for entry-level jobs with Honda Aircraft Co., HAECO, Cabin Solutions, and Boeing and others.
This speciality blends electronics with mechanical engineering skills. Mechatronics is an emerging field that is in high demand. Learn about robotics, automation hydraulics and pneumatics. If you don't know what they are but your love to tinker and build things that move and work to make your life easier, you'll be right at home.
As many new manufacturing jobs are being created in N.C. and in the Triad, having the skills of a production technician will prepare you to find work in a short time. You'll study to take certification exams to prepare, operate, and maintain equipment, generally in a manufacturing or production environment.
